Track the evolution of fixed and
mobile WiMAX standards by a flexible
toolkit for test and measurements |
| |
| WisyMAX is an NI Labview
based system framework for integrated RF and base-band
test/measurement of WiMAX compliant Devices. The test
are performed according to the IEEE 802.16-2004 WirelessMAN
OFDM PHY layer specifications (also known as fixed WiMAX).
In conjunction with National Instruments RF digitizers
and RF up/down-converters boards, WisyMAX combines a
comprehensive RF signal analysis and generation suite
for complete testing of BB (Base Station) and SS (Subscriber
Station) equipment. As a stand alone product, it may
be used to:
- generate
- store
- analyze
WiMAX I/Q base-band signals, helping the engineers to
analyze, test and troubleshoot BB/SS WiMAX devices and
systems.
The WisyMAX Generator creates RF and Baseband WiMAX
signals from configuration files or by using a user-friendly
graphic interface. System parameters (e.g., CP, BW and
frame length) may be easily adapted, configured and
saved for any future testing reference. Moreover, the
built-in frame editor guarantees the generation of user-configurable
WiMAX compliant bursts of RF and I/Q data.
The package includes the simulation of signal impairments
such as fading channels (e.g., tapped delay lines, SUI
and 3GPP channels), frequency offset and I/Q gain and
phase imbalances.
Complex network system tests can be employed as any
payload can be arranged into WiMAX compliant signals
by a built-in modulation and channel coding software.
The WisyMAX Analyzer provides an extensive set of RF/baseband
test/measurement capabilities for BB and SS compliant
to IEEE802.16-2004 PHY layer specifications. |

| Signal analysis tool includes:
- Power Spectrum,
- Spectral Flatness,
- Cumulative Distribution Function analysis,
- Constellation EVM.
Channel estimation and Receiver Synchronization functionalities
for single and multiple antennas systems (SIMO/MIMO
systems).
All results are accessible through a powerful graphic
interface.
Moreover, the complete PHY/MAC processing chain allows
for: automatic frame structure acquisition in DL frames,
MAC PDUs segmentation, payload extraction (by demodulation
and decoding with CRC correctness check).
In addition to conventional testing setup, broad customization
options are provided for test automation, measurements/
test result archiving and report generation.
The WisyEditor is an easy-to-use interactive environment
that guarantees the editing of standard and non-standard
signals and patterns to be used in adhoc testing. The
integration of WisyEditor with WisyMAX Generator and
WisyMAX Analyzer let the customer to adapt the overall
system to specific automated test environments.
The WisyMAX software toolkit integrate directly into
NI Test Stand Environment by permitting “drag&drop”
WiMAX testing capability and by integrating with 3rd
Part testing tools.
A comprehensive set of NI Labview VIs allows for an
extremely wide range of testing applications. Efficient
implementation of analysis algorithms provides extremely
fast test throughput. Thorough documentation, detailed
examples, and several flow diagrams make the integration
straightforward for anybody familiar with NI LabVIEW’s
graphical programming environment.
A strong commitment to software development offers the
final user continuous upgrades of WiMAX toolkits, as
the best guarantee of keeping test performances at top. |
